Admission:

  • The academic session of the College, which is from June to May, has terms namely (i) June to December and (ii) January to May. Admission to the college starts after the publication of the Board/university examination results and continues till the lest data prescribed for such admission. The last data for submission of application for admission to various classes is usually the 15th day from the data of publication of the result of the Council/University examination.

  • Admission is purely on merit, subject to good conduct, however, the admission to the college cannot be claimed as a matter of right and may be the Principal without disclosing the reasons thereof.

  • Procedure of obtaining application forms:
    Application forms and prospectus will be available at the College Counter on payment of Rs.50/-- application forms can also be had by post by sending a crossed bank draft for rs.50/- on S.B.l., Bargarh in favour of Principal, Panchayat College, Bargarh and a self-addressed envelope stamped for Rs.21/- to the Principal by designation. (No other modes of payment are acceptable).

  •  How to apply:
    A candidate should submit the duly filled in prescribed application from complete in all respect by Regd. Post/Postal Speed post only so as to reach the Principal on or before the last data prescribed for the same clearly superscribed on it as APPLICATION FROM for class. The application form must be accompanied by the following documents.

    • Attested true copy/copies of the mark sheet/s of the qualifying Examinations.

    • Attested true copy/copies of the School/College Leaving Certificate and Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended

    • Compartmental candidates should submit mark sheets of both the examinations.

    • The applicant must affix the required postage stamp in the index only and shall write his/her full address clearly in the index and intimation card. They should submit two sell addressed envelopes.

    • If the applicant belongs to S.C./S.T. he/she must submit an attested true copy of caste certificate issued by competent authority (namely M.P./ M.L.A/ Collector/ Addl. District Magistrate/Sub-Divisional Officer/Gazatted Local revenue Officer not below the rank of Deputy Collector or Tahasildar of the area). Such certificate must bear the full signature of the applicant duly attested by the issuing authority.

    • No objection certificate in original form the employer in case the applicant is employed, must be submitted with the application form.

    • Money receipt in support of the purchase of the admission form must be submitted with the application form must be submitted with the application form.

    • Orthopaedically / Physically handicapped candidates must submit an attested true copy of certificate from the Chief District Medical Officer to the effect that the handicap is a major one deserving special consideration.

    • Attested copy of any other certificate (s) such as N.C.C., President’s scout and Guide, sports, Ex-Serviceman etc. as applicable.

IMPORTANT:

ALL ATTESTED COPIES OF CERTIFICATE AND MARK SHEET MUST BEAR THE FULL SIGNATURE OF APPLICANT. IN NO CASE APPLICATION FORMS SHALL BE ACCEPTED BY COURSE OR BY HAND OR BY ORDINARY POST.

  • Reservation of seats and weightage for admission:
  • Reservation of seats
  • Seats for SC/ST Students are available from the Reserved quota viz 8% and 12% respectively provided an attested copy of the certificate from a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahasildar of the area is attached to the application.
  • Seats are also reserved for the children of Burma repatriates provided a certificate from special officer, Burma Rehabilitate is attached.
  • Reservation of seats is made for the children Ex-Service man to claim such facility; certificate issued by the Zilla Sainik Board is to be attached with the application.
  • 1% of the seats shall be reserved for the children of Serving Defence Personnel.
  • Reservation of 3% (Three percent) seats will be giver to candidates orthopaedically/Physically handicapped (Deaf/Dump/Blind). A certificate from the chief District medical Officer of the district is to be submitted.
  • Weigtage for Admission:
  • N.C.C. Candidates having ‘A’ certificate will have weightage of 5% (Five percent) additional mark and those having ‘B’ certificate shall have weightage of 10% (Ten percent) additional marks. No weightage will be given to ‘C’ certificate. Candidates who have once failed in Higher Secondary/Degree Stage and have passed subsequently and possess ‘A’ or ‘B’ certificate or both are not considered for the weightage.

  • Candidates who represented in President Scout and Guides and received Rajya Puraskar will be given 5% (Five percent) and Rastrapati Puraskar will be given 10% (Tenpercent) of additional marks as weightage over the aggregate secured. Rovers and Rangers will be given 5% (Five percent) of weightage. This is applicable only for +2 admission.
  • A student representing the University or the School at the Inter University or Inter state Level will get 5% (Five percent) weightage provided that the sports events are recognized/organized by the Director of Sports/University/C.H.S.E./B.S.E., Orissa and all the sports. The certificate must be countersigned by the Director of Sports. The student must have participate in the competitions within 2 years from the data of applying for admission. A student representing the country at the international level of sports activities will get admission straight.

  • A woman candidate desirous of taking admission into a college with a subject (a) which is/are not offered in the local Woman’s college shall have 5% (five percent) weightage over the aggregate obtained by her in the last qualifying examination provided.

    • The candidate given such weightage will not be allowed to change the subject (s) subsequently.
    • This concession is not extended to admission to P.G.Classes.
    • An applicant who has passes +2 Commerce and is seeking admission to B, Com.
    • Class will have an extra weightage of 5% (Five percent) of mark over and above the aggregate obtained by him/her at the last qualifying examination.
  • in all total weightages given to an applicant will not exceed 10% (Ten percent) of marks.
  • No weightage shall be extended for P.G. admission.

ADMISSION ON TRANSFER

The Children of government Servant on transfer shall be admitted on the production of T.C. from the college where he/she last studied. But the officer has to report within six months from the data of his/her transfer.
