FINANCIAL AID

i) Educational concessions to children of officers and army man:

Certain educational concessions are given by the Govt. of Orissa to the children of officers and men of the Armed forces including Para military personnel who are killed or permanently disabled or declared missing during Indo-Park conflict of December 1971/Indo-Pak conflict of 1965/Indo-Chinese hostilities of 1962 and Defense personnel of Indian Peace keeping Force (IPKF) in Sri Lanka. Eligible candidates should apply for the above concession in the prescribed forms, which will be available from the college office or from the office of the Director, Higher Education, Bhubaneswar.

(ii) Stipends to the children of Financial Aids:

The application should be submitted by the eligible students in the prescribed application form, obtainable from the college office, to the Director of Higher Education, Orissa through the Principal.

(iii) Free studentship and Financial Aids:

  • Free studentship not exceeding 12.5% of the total strength of the college are permissible and are granted to the students every year on merit cum poverty basis.
  • Schedule caste and Schedule Tribe students are exempted from payment of tuition fees and admission fees on production of a caste certificate from an M. L. A. or M. P. or Magistrate not below the rank of First Class
  • Women students whose parents or guardians do not pay income tax are required to pay tuition fees at half the usual rates on production of a non-payment of income tax certificate from the employer or from the income tax authority.
  • A number of aids are made available to students from the Social Service Guild every year for a period of 9 months.
  • There is a Social Service Guild to grant stipends to the needy and deserving students of the college and to help people in distress. Each student of the college has to contribute an annual subscription of Rs.2/- towards the Guild fund. A student getting held from the S. S. G. has to give an undertaking to refund the sum advanced to him/her when he/she gets well placed in life.
