PROCEDURE FOR TAKING
ADMISSION:
The selected candidates shall be intimated by REGD. POST for taking admission.
The
following documents must be sent only by Registred Post for taking admission.
1) School/College leaving certificate of the institution last attended in
original.
2) Mark sheet of the last qualifying examination in original.
3) Latest caste Certificate in case of SC/St in original.
4) Certificate from Chief District medical Officer in case of Physically
handicapped in
original.
5) N.C.C. certificate ‘A’ or ‘B’ in original (This is not applicable for P.G.
admission)
6) Certificate for representing in President’s Scout and Guide, if any in
original
certificate of ports as representing at International/National/University/State
level
issued by the Director, ports Council of University/CHSE, BSE in original.
7) Certificate from District Sainik Board in original in the prescribed form for
Ex-service
man quota.
8) Identity Card and the Bio-data form duly signed.
9) Intimation letter in original.
10) One self-addressed unstamped envelop of 22x10 cms size for returning the
original
documents by Regd. Post.
11) Conduct Certificate in original.
12) Four recent passport size photographs duly signed by the applicant on front
& attested
by a gazetted officer.
13) In addition to these documents the admission fee (the amount shall be
intimated to the
student along with the intimation letter) will be sent to the Principal in the
form of
State Bank of India demand/challan deposited in S.B.I., Bargarh.
Honours Admission: Students securing 40% marks in aggregate and in the concerned
subject
are eligible for applying for honours subjects.
14) LIST OF ENCLOSURES
Applications for admission received after the due data will be considered as
late
application and such case will be considered for admission after all
applications received
in due time are exhausted.
Forfeiture of claim for admission:
If a selected candidate fails to get himself/herself admitted on the specified
data he/she
will forfeit his/her claim for admission.
Lectures and Practicals :
1) Students should take their seats before the teacher enters the class and
should not
leave the room during the course of the lecture. A student should seek the
permission of
the teacher concerned for his late entry to the classroom.
2) If a student is not well he may leave the class with necessary permission.
3) Girl students should be allowed to occupy seats in the front rows.
4) Students should maintain perfect discipline inside the class and be attentive
to the
lectures.
5) Students should not assemble in front of the classroom or make noise in the
vicinity
when a class is going on. They are advised to use the Student’s Common Room when
they do
not have any class.
Attendance:
1) Every student is required to attend at least 75% of the lectures, practical
etc. held in
each subject in a particular academic session in order to be eligible to be sent
up for the
University examination.
2) In case of illness supported by medical certificate the University considers
application
to condone shortage of attendance upto 15%. A student may be granted condonation
of an
additional 5% in case he has represented State/University/College for any
purpose during
the concern session.
3) A candidate failing at a University Examination can reappear at the same
examination as
a non-collegiate candidate without further attending the classes provided he
produces a
certificate from the Principal of the college from which he last appeared to the
effect
that nothing objectionable is known against his conduct.
4) A student who has reasons to believe that he may run shortage of attendance
and would
like to ascertain his percentage of attendance at any time during the academic
session, may
obtain the same by making a written request along with a fee of Re.0.50
deposited for each
subject.
5) If a student finds that his name has not been entered in the attendance
register of any
class he should immediately bring the matter to the notice of the Principal by a
written
application the Principal is satisfied his absence may be condoned for such an
interval.
6) As soon as the name of a student is notified to have been struck-off from the
roll due
to non-payment of fees, he becomes liable to loose the benefit of attendance
till his name
is restored on payment of the necessary fees.
Student should bear in mind that there is no law to help them in case of
shortage of
attendance. Hence students are advised not to remain absent from their classes
lest they
may be detained for shortage of attendance.
Rules regarding extra curricular activities of students.
1) Every student of the college should actively participate in the extra
curricular
activities of the college such as Sports N.C.C., N.S.S.. Cultural competitions,
Society
functions seminars sand so on.
2) It is a right of every student to participate in the college elections. They
are advised
not to participate actively in any party politics. Any violation of his
suggestion may
render them liable to disciplinary action.
3) A student can not become a member of an outside Athletic
Club/society/Association with
out obtaining the necessary permission from the Principal.
4) No college player can play for any team other than the college team with out
a written
permission from the Principal.
6) It is the responsibility of every student to extend his/her wholehearted
co-operation to
make a function organized in the college successful. Any attempt to mar the
decency or
decorum of the function will be considered an act of gross indiscipline.
Notice :
1) All office orders, information, decisions & instructions will be notified on
the college
notice board(s). It is the duty of a student to see the notice board and obtain
the
necessary information. Ignorance of any notice will not be accepted as an
excuse.
2) Students are advised not to remove any notice from the Notice Board. Removal
of notice
is aserious offence.
3) For any clarification of any notice students may contact the principal or
Head Clerk.
4) No student is allowed to affix private notices on the Notice Board without
necessary
permission of the authority.
Use of College Premises and Property:
Student should not write any thing on the walls, floor, pillars or doors of the
college
building. They must not temper with electric & water fittings, furniture,
laboratory
fittings, apparatus, library books, journals, etc. In case of any damage to the
college
property, the cost of the damage along with a fine shall be realized from the
concerned
students.
Discipline:
1) Students should take their seats before the teachers enter the classrooms and
should not
leave their seats during the lecture.
2) They should not cause disturbances either inside the class or outside. They
should not
loiter or stand gossiping in groups in verandah, in front of classrooms or on
the staircase
nor should they loiter, before Staff Common Room, Principal’s chamber or enter
the office
without sufficient cause.
3) They should not remove any paper from table of the staff common room, library
or office.
4) Students involved in activities disrupting the discipline of the college
shall be
severely dealt with.
5) The causes of serious indiscipline shall be placed before the Staff Council
and its
recommendation shall be placed before Governing Body for final action.
Proctorial System:
Keeping in view the aims and objects of the Proctorial system, a Proctor is
1) To establish personal contact with the students & their parents or guardians.
2) To exercise control and to put moral check on the students.
3) To help and guide them in career planning and give them information about Job
and
employment opportunities.
4) To watch their attendance in classes, taking the examination, their
performance and
progress in studies.
5) To instill in their mind a high sense of discipline, duty loyalty to the
teachers and
the institution through frequent meetings and discussions.
6) To help them in understanding dignity of labour and to initiate them to do
social
service and to take part in all extra curricular activities.
7) To report all deficiencies, discrepancies & irregularities noticed in the
students to
the Principal and the guardians and to suggest corrective measures.
8) To organize and conduct the Proctorial meetings at least once a month.
An adverse report against a student by the Proctor will be viewed seriously.
An Application without the recommendation from the proctor will not be
considered.
No financial help such as freeship, help from S.S.G. Students Aid Fund will be
granted
without the recommendation of the Proctor.
In the interest of their wards, Parents/Guardians should be in touch with the
Proctor.
